The Best Areas for Bucharest Stag Weekend Accommodation

blog post

Although Bucharest is not a big city and you can find your way around it easily with taxis or Uber, it is always good to stay in areas close to parties and nightlife.

The daytime and evening fun happens around the Old Town which is the historical city centre. In there, you can find bars, pubs and clubs that are usually open the whole time.

But the real nightlife fun during a Bucharest stag do takes place in posh clubs which are always located in the northern part of town. Such place would be Bamboo, Fratelli or Player.

Our recommendation is to book accommodation near the Old Town and then we can always help with a transfer to the clubs at night.

Piata Unirii Area

The literal translation of the place is “Union Square”. The area is close to the Old Town, one of the places that Bucharest stag groups prefer for daytime and evening fun. Basically the Old Town is right next to Piata Unirii.

Most options in the area are BnB apartments, but you can also book hotels there for the bachelor weekend in Bucharest.

Old Town Area

This is the centre of daytime and evening action, but we do not recommend to book accommodation right in the Old Town. The area is noisy the whole time.

Although sleeping is not the official Bucharest stag sport, we usually recommend our guests to choose hotels in quiet places close to the city action. The Old Town offers a number of options that are stag friendly.

If you do choose to book a place there for the bachelor weekend in Bucharest, it would be good to choose one at the Old Town exit. The noisiest places are Strada Selari and everything close to it. The area next to Calea Victoriei is more quiet.

Calea Victoriei Area

The literal translation of the name is “Victory Road”. Calea Victoriei spreads across 3 km from Piata Victoriei (Victory Square – centre-north) to the Dambovita River (centre, close to the Old Town). The place is both nice, relatively quiet and has very good access to places that stag teams are looking for: bars, restaurants and clubs.

The best hotels for bachelor weekend groups in the area are The Hilton, Radisson, Novotel and Ramada, but more affordable locations can be found nearby (hostels and BnB apartments).

Cismigiu Park Area

This area is located north-west from the Old Town within walking distance. In terms of accommodation, we do recommend our Bucharest stag weekend guests to consider places around there.

Cismigiu Park is quiet, central and close to the Old Town. It offers a good range of nice restaurants. Our favourite is Gambrinus, which is located right on Regina Elisabeta Boulevard.

Stag groups that we have taken there enjoy traditional Romanian food, but also meat-based dishes that are specific to breweries.

Hotel Central would be a place to keep in mind for Bucharest stag weekends. It is located right next to Cismigiu Park and across the road from Gambrinus Restaurant.

The Old Town is within 10 minutes walking.

BnB Apartments

A cheap, well located and very decent accommodation option for stag dos is bed-and-breakfast apartments. Owners rent them per night (just like hotels) and there are international platforms with photos that can help you book a place that is ideal for a Bucharest bachelor party.

Apartments range from one to six rooms and can accommodate up to 14 people if they are willing to share rooms. Many of our stag weekend groups chose this option.

What we offer

As a Bucharest stag agency, we help our guests find the best accommodation within a given budget. We usually look for a good place (hotel or apartment) that is close to the Old Town where most of the action takes place.
